We all live with some degree of stress – it is a fact of daily life and both the good and bad things that happen. Major life events like changing jobs, the death of a loved one, or moving to a new city can cause us to feel stressed. A degree of stress is a normal part of life. Daily job pressures or getting ready for holidays can cause us minor stress. Successfully completing a challenging work project or going on vacation can make us feel energized and happy. Good stress allows us to maintain a balance. When stress begins to feel umanageable and overwhelming - when it interferes in daily life - then it can cause serious health concerns.
